Day 1: Las Vegas
Head to glittering Las Vegas and check in to the Golden Nugget Hotel. It is named after the world's largest gold nugget, the Hand of Faith, displayed in the lobby. Enjoy dinner at your hotel, and later, view the amazing “Fremont Street Experience,” a sound and light show with stunning visual and sound effects. It is located in the area once known as “Glitter Gulch,” just outside of your hotel. (D)
Day 2: Lake Powell
Clear blue water and red-rock cliffs greet your arrival at picturesque Lake Powell. It is the second largest man-made reservoir in the United States behind Lake Mead, and straddles the border between Utah and Arizona. The area is a major vacation spot with more than two million visitors each year. Settle in for two nights at the waterfront Lake Powell Resort. (B)
Day 3: Lake Powell & Colorado River Cruise
Cruise up the Colorado River into the natural beauty of Antelope Canyon. This canyon is known for its scenic slot canyon region. The Canyon's bends and the towering walls of sandstone on either side will keep you peering around the next corner. Have the rest of the day and evening free to enjoy the resort. (B)
Day 4: Bryce Canyon National Park
Cross into the canyon country of Utah where the splendor of nature never ends. Today you’ll witness an amazing geological masterpiece, the multi-colored spires and hoodoos of Bryce Canyon National Park. A driving tour will show you some of the highlights before an overnight at Ruby’s Inn. What started with tent houses and a place to serve meals, paved the way for the modern facilities which today serve the tourists at Bryce Canyon. (B)
Day 5: Mesquite & Zion
Travel past the monoliths of Zion National Park. The prominent feature is Zion Canyon, cut through the reddish and tan-colored Navajo Sandstone by the Virgin River. In 1909, President Taft named the area a National Monument, and a few years later Congress established it as a National Park. Continue on to Mesquite, Nevada, set in a lush valley bordered by the Virgin River and framed by the picturesque Virgin Mountains. End the day with a farewell dinner and an overnight at the CasaBlanca Resort. (B, D)
Day 6: Home
After breakfast, head home with happy memories of Lake Powel, Bryce & Zion Canyon National Parks. (B)
